This manual has its virtues: fairly simple and accessible, and as such could be used as supplemental for students in writing courses; it also covers fairly comprehensively the various areas of concern which such a tool would require. A little clunky, however, and surprisingly no discussion of the construction of thesis statements, aside from a solid section on understanding assignments.
