Utility of Materials Designed to Support Teaching: Superior (3)

There are suggestions for extensions, but no modifications for those who may be struggling.

Quality of Assessments: Limited (1)

There is no assesment of prior knowledge before beginning. Although one may assume it would be based on the teacher's knowledge of their students.

Quality of Technological Interactivity: Strong (2)

I am only giving a two because this is superior in the second session, but hardly evident at all in the first session.

ELA: Key Shifts in the CCSS: Strong (2)

This lesson does a great job of developing children's rhyming skills through song but does not provide opportunities with text. The words used could be their spelling words or vocabulary words.

ELA: Instructional Supports: Limited (1)

Songs are a great way to gain students engagement and memorization. I also liked how there was a handout attached as well as a link to an interactive tool. Adding a reading like a poem or story could further expand this lesson and what the students are learning.

ELA: Assessment: Strong (2)

This lesson would be a great opportunity for student to practice public speaking and presentation skills. They could present their own songs as well as crate their own rhyming poems or stories.
