Overall, this is a great idea for a lesson! I like that the students are able to use their background knowledge and connect it to new knowledge. The lesson plan would be really helpful if it had questions listed out to ask the students. I think an engaging that can get the children moving to begin the lesson would be a great addition!
I think overall this lesson plan was great! Loved the inclusion of background information and connecting it to prior knowledge. I thought it gave opportunities for deeper learning by connecting it to them and what food groups they eat from. I think to make the lesson better, an engaging activity at the beginning to get them moving and excited would have been great.
I love the layout of your lesson plan! By incorporating a book within the lesson allows students to get a visual of the different types of foods they need to consume more of and the foods they need to avoid. The only thing I would change, is to delete the math portion of the lesson. I feel that instead of math, the students could benefit from an extra activity to ensure they are fully educated about healthy living.

The only thing I would change within the lesson is to cut out the math portion. I feel that this takes time away from another activity the students could perform to better educate them about healthy living.

ELA: Alignment to the Rigor of the CCSS: Superior (3)
I think the vodeo is a great idea and it meets all content standards. I really like how they can incorporate a drawing task. However, I would eliminate the draw anything you could eat task. I feel that could take away from the focus of healthy eating.

ELA: Key Shifts in the CCSS: Limited (1)
There is really only one reference task and that is th vid o. Maybe incorporate more textual evidence of healthy eating.
